Sustainable business practice and transparent ESG reporting has gained increasing attention over the past few years. There is evidence that financial performance of companies are tied with how companies handle ESG matters. While sustainable reporting is not mandatory in all countries, regulators and stakeholders recognize the use of best practices can be an important differentiator. Lenders and investors are imposing sustainability-related requirements on companies seeking financing, and jobs in green economy is in hot demand as Singapore looks to become carbon services hub.
This workshop will provide a better understanding of the nature of ESG and the impact of sustainable finance on raising money or closing deals and introduces participants to a variety of ESG reporting standards. The guest speakers will be sharing up-to-date market studies on sustainability, climate change and nature reporting – covering companies in Asia Pacific, ASEAN and Singapore.
